Native American Indian Soapstone Sculpture of a Head and Hand Entangled with Rattlesnakes

The skill used to carve this highly original work is nothing short of excellent. Faint markings on the underside. Extremely heavy.

This piece is in near perfect condition and an excellent choice for low ceilings. It takes a single bulb.

Acrylic and Collage on Paper Titled:"Summer Landscape" by Alex Redein (1912-1990). American

This painting was executed in 1985 and presented as a birthday gift in 9/9/86. Inscribed verso: "For Harold´s Birthday".
Redein was born in Bridgeport Connecticut and died in NYC. He studied at Yale School of Fine Art, The Art Students League, and in Mexico City.
He spent most of his life in New York and was a prominent member of the famous 28 St. Group of Modern Artists who often congregated at the Henry and David Rothman Frame Shop in N.Y.
